Calendula (Canlendula Officinalis) Tincture

Calendula (calendula officinalis) is an incredible medicinal plant that is believed to be anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, anti-microbial and antiseptic, lymphatic, cholagogue, emmenagogue, ani-ulcerous, anti-carcinogenic, astringent and vulnerary (wound healing).

Traditionally Calendula was used internally to treat stomach ulcers, leaky gut, liver infections and disorders, gallbladder, as an immune stimulant, Lymphatic stimulant, artery/capillary haemorrhage, haemorrhoids, as a mouth wash (also for gum disease) and varicose veins. It was used externally/topically to treat Skin ailments like eczema and psoriasis, inflammation, infection, bruises or cuts, wounds (including slow healing wounds) ulcers, bed sores, burns/scalding, warts, oily skin, varicose veins, haemorrhoids, shingles, childhood-illnesses like chickenpox, mumps and measles, ringworm, athletes foot, sore/inflamed eyes, conjunctivitis and styes, mastitis and cracked nipples and it was even used on insect bites.

Directions for use:

Adults: Internal/oral administration: 10-20 drops under the tongue or diluted in 20ml water 2-3 x daily. For a long-term maintenance, once a day is sufficient with breaks in between for optimal results (3 weeks on, one week off). External/topical application: Apply a few drops on the affected area 3-4 times a day.

Children: Internal/oral administration: 5-10 drops, diluted in 20ml water and let it sit on the counter for 20min to evaporate the alcohol content before drinking it, 1-2x daily.  For long-term maintenance, once a day is sufficient with breaks in between for optimal results (3 weeks on, one week off). External/topical application: Apply 1-2 drops on the affected area 2-3 times a day.

 

Consult your doctor before use and if ailment continues/worsens.

 

Contains Cane Derived Alcohol: 50-60%

May not be suitable for children, recovering alcoholics, or during pregnancy and breast feeding.

Storage:

Store in a dark and cool place; keep out of heat and direct sunlight. Common sense is the best advice; If it tastes or smells bad, throw it out (that's to say when it no longer smells or taste like the plant represented).
